Founded in 2005 by director Pelin Esmer, Sinefilm is a production company focused on independent film projects. Pelin Esmer has produced her films to date in collaboration with Tolga Esmer, Nida Karabol, Marsel Kalvo, and Dilde Mahalli.
The feature films produced by Sinefilm, including The Play, 10 to 11, Watchtower, Something Useful, Queen Lear, and And The Rest Will Follow, have garnered significant attention both domestically and internationally and have won numerous awards at various festivals. ARTE France was the co-producer of 11 to 10; The Watchtower, Something Useful, and And The Rest Will Follow were supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture, CNC (France), Medienboard (Berlin), the Bulgarian Film Fund, and Eurimages. The films have been released in Turkey, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. Sinefilm (Tolga Esmer) also served as the executive producer for a four-part ARTE France documentary series about Istanbul.
